I’m a writer working on both short stories and a novel in the categories generally referred to as mainstream and literary.  An editor by profession, I have been writing after hours every day for three years and considerably longer on a less steady basis. Many of my essays and articles have appeared in small newsletters, and a few have sold to larger publications, but I have not yet placed a piece of fiction in a recognized journal or magazine.
